On Saturday, September 6, the Oregon Sportsman’s Club hosted the Annual Fall Fundraising Banquet and Pig Roast. This annual event was open to the public and brought members together with their families, friends and neighbors to enjoy roasted pig, chicken dinners, cold beverage, and a good time. Dinners were available for $10 and a raffle was held at the end of the evening.
This year, overall attendance exceeded 400 with more than 350 people enjoying the dinner portion of the evening. Following the meal, an air of excitement permeated the clubhouse as the 75 can raffles began. Winners of the raffles were announced to the captivated crowd, including the incredible grand prizes as well as kids-only and ladies raffle items.
The Annual Fall Banquet is the club’s biggest fundraising opportunity for the year. Monies raised support annual operations as well as planned enhancements to the facilities and grounds. Recent improvements have expanded the club’s appeal by adding a large outdoor patio and landscaping, several new picnic tables, new sporting clay throwers, and a stable of new 3D targets.
We would like to extend a sincere thanks to all of the members, officers, board members, league and activity directors, and friends who volunteer their time make our organization great. Without their passion and dedication, the Oregon Sportsman’s Club would not be the thriving, admired organization it is today. We hope to see everyone next year when the Annual Fall Banquet promises to be an event to remember.
